This is one reason why he didn’t think twice when he heard of a wine estate on sale in this region in 1773. Since then, he acquired this particular wine estate in Volnay village and has been making symbolic wines under his label. The Bouchard wine estate is located in a beautiful location on the rich Burgundian terroirs. The vineyard stretches 48km that runs from north to south, encompassing over 450 plots of diverse soil qualities and climatic conditions. At Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils, the winemaking team practices sustainable winemaking practices to respect the soil where the grapes are grown. The fruits are carefully hand-harvested, before they are sorted in a small parcel. Every bottle produced here reflects the true character of the divine soil structure of the Burgundy 2005, this estate invested in a state-of-the-art and sophisticated winery, Saint Vincent winery, located in Savigny-Les-Beaune. The vat room, where the vinification occurs, is constructed 5m underground; therefore, grapes are travel to the next steps with natural gravity. This winery has the potential to hold 138 maceration vats, 100 vintages, 4000 barrels and more.
